Radiohead’s ‘Burn the Witch’ Video Sparks Legal Battle

By Annie Reuter

Gordon Murray’s family is not in favor of Radiohead’s new music video for “Burn the Witch.”

Murray is the mastermind behind the 1960s UK children’s television show Trumpton and his family is speaking out against Radiohead’s music video which borrows characters from the original show and paints the video in a dark manner which entails pagan worship and witchcraft.

“Radiohead should have sought our consent as we consider this a tarnishing of the brand,” William Mollett, son-in-law of Gordon Murray, told The Daily Mail. “It is not something we would have authorized. We consider that there is a breach of copyright and we are deciding what to do next.”

Radiohead have not yet responded to the claims of Mollett’s family.
