Not thirty seconds into Morrissey‘s new album and he’s already dripping with sarcasm about “paying taxes” while calling someone a “poor little fool” and not soon after he’s growling about Neal Cassady and Allen Ginsberg.  Later, the dagger: “Earth is the loneliest planet of all.” It’s good to have you back, Moz.

World Peace Is None of Your Business is out July 15th, but NPR has a full stream of Morrissey’s tenth album over on their site right now. Click here to stream the 56-minute album, Moz’s first new album in five years.

The album features long-time producer Joe Chiccarelli and his backing band Boz Boorer (guitar), Jesse Tobias (guitar), Solomon Walker (bass), Matthew Walker (drums) and Gustavo Manzur (keyboards).

Some lucky fans got a tease of the album on Morrissey’s tour for the dates that weren’t cancelled due to illness, which of course became a bit of a to do with Morrissey and the opening act spatting about who’s to blame. Hopefully those affected by the cancelled dates will see new dates sometime later this year.
