Beer For Breakfast: Firestone Walker Pivo Pils Review
Firestone Walker Pivo Pils
Firestone Walker Pivo Pils has 5.3% ABV. It’s being served from a 12 oz. brown bottle. It was brewed on August 8th 2013. It was purchased at Lee’s on Decatur and Blue Diamond… it was priced at 7.99 and I spent a grand total of like $22.17
Proper Glassware: Pint Glass
Serve @: 40-45°F
Look: The Pivo Pills has a clear and glistening golden straw-colored body with lots of tiny bubbles scurrying their way to the top. A normal pour produced about 2 inches of white fizzy head which faded after a few minutes leaving behind a thick white film of sticky lace down the side of the glass.
Smell: The Pivo Pills has a very simple yet inviting nose. Hops and sweet malts are the two main scents which are balanced nicely. There is a very faint undertone of citrus but overall the nose on this is very clean.
Taste: The Pivo Pills starts with a rush of a sweet malts followed by a nice punch of hops that lingers for a bit. . There is also faint mineral and spice that I am picking up as well.
Feel: Light bodied, nicely carbonated, clean.
Drinkabilty: I’m a big fan of Pilsners and make no bones about my love of this underserved style in the craft community…This beer goes great with almost anything. It compliments a light meal nicely or you can pair it with a wide range of cigars not to mention it’s perfect beer for a sunny day here in the Las Vegas Valley. Plus it doesn’t hurt that it won’t break the bank.
