Beer For Breakfast: Redd’s Apple Ale Review & PODcast
Redd’s Apple Ale
Redd’s Apple Ale has 5% ABV. It’s being served from a 12 oz. clear long neck bottle that was bottled on a unknown date. It was generously donated to us by our friends at Bonanza Beverage. It was priced at FREE BABY!…..I spent a grand total of $0 dollars on Beer for Breakfast this week.
Proper Glassware: Pint Glass
Serve @: 45-50°F
Look: Redd’s Apple Ale pours a somewhat dark shade of straw yellow. There is an ample amount of carbonation which was almost soda like at first and it had very little head and left behind almost no lacing on the side of my glass.
Smell: The nose on this beer starts off with sweet sweet apples as would the name would suggest and the is a faint tinge of alcohol hiding behind the apples.
Taste: If you don’t like apples this isn’t for you BUT if you are a fan of apples you will enjoy is Apple Ale immensely. It’s not overly complex but it shines in it simplicity, it’s apple juice that will get you drunk! There is the tiniest amount of apple tartness on the finish.
Feel: Light bodied. Crisp, bubbly, and effervescent.
Drinkability: If you are looking for a change for you amber lagers, double IPAs, or serious stouts then Redd’s Apple Ale is a viable option for you to check out when your looking for a refreshing alcoholic beverage,
