The Yeah Yeah Yeahs continue their march towards Mosquito, the band’s first new album in four years with a thought-provoking music video for the lead single, “Sacrilege.”

Featuring model turned actress Lily Cole (she starred in Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus with Heath Ledger and Tom Waits), the clip is shot like a feature film, opening with a group of people walking away from a fire burning in a field at night.

The video goes on to unfold in reverse order, revealing a sordid tale intertwining lust, revenge, religion and possibly even incest that circles around Cole’s promiscuous character, who’s left to burn at the video’s start (slut-shaming would be an understatement). The only thing missing is the band, with none of the members making an appearance in the conceptual clip. Watch below, but be warned, it’s NSFW.

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs have announced the first run of tour dates in support of Mosquito, which hits stores on April 16. Kicking off at New York’s Webster Hall on April 7, the tour will see the NYC rockers playing a slew of music festivals, including Coachella, Hangout and Firefly. They were also recently announced as one of the headliners at Brooklyn’s Great GoogaMooga Festival, set for the weekend of May 17-19.
