The Virginmarys Vs The Tossers
The UK trio of The Virginmarys have been running the table since C2C’s big 10th win. The band has re-introduced the alt music universe with platinum class ‘Grunge’ that we all got quickly familiar with thanks to the likes of Nirvana, Screeming Trees and Mudhoney. TVM’s just recently dropped their debut full length ‘King of Conflict’ last month. Which blends an intoxicating drink of grunge, garage and in your face punk!
We have to get geared up for St. Patrick’s Day somehow on the station! Now for the most part when you think of Irish/ Celtic punk, usually the first words out of people’s mouths is, Dropkick Murphys or Flogging Molly. Which is for great reason, both are amazing at what they do. However, The Tossers who always seem to be left out of the mix. Actually pre-date both acts who formed in 1993 out of Chicago. The six piece just recently released their latest album ‘The Emerald City’ on March 5th.
