White House Shocks World With Dubstep Video
This afternoon, the White House released a trailer video to promote the viewing an an enhanced version of tonight’s State of the Union address airing tonight at 9:00 p.m. (Feb 12). Chartes and graphs will be used on-screen to help visualize president Obama’s talking point throughout his speech.
Surprising about the video is not the content, but the soundtrack. In what is likely the first time ever, White House video producers have used the distinctive wobbling bass sounds of dubstep.
Staring innocuously with the sound of a string quartet, the video shoots straight for the heart of the dance floor at the fourteen second mark as the beat drops.
Initial reaction ranges from shock to disgust with one commenter threatening to move to Canada.
