Now over a year into their deal with Fox, the UFC is looking back at their historic partnership and the company couldn’t be happier with the decision.
On November 12th, 2011, the UFC debuted on Fox with a heavyweight title fight between Junior dos Santos and Cain Velasquez. Despite the fight lasting only 64 seconds, it was a sign of good things to come for the UFC. Since that event, the network has broadcasted four events.
As far as ratings are concerned, the UFC isn’t worried about the numbers over the past year. The viewership varied for each event, though it seems as if the promotion is starting to get it’s stride going into the second year of the seven-year deal. UFC President Dana White recently talked about the deal and how satisfied he is with it. Hear his comments below.
