Puddle of Mudd‘s Wes Scantlin was pulled over in mid-January for signs of intoxication. Unfortunately for the Missouri native, this led police to search him and the car only to find singer in possession of a white powder later determined to be cocaine.

According to E! News, Scantlin made a deal with the L.A. District Attorney whereby avoiding doing time by submitting a plea of guilty to felony possession charges. The DA then dropped two lesser charges of under-the-influence and driving without a license. The “Blurry” singer is now under 18 months’ deferred judgment, which includes a drug counseling program.

To honor his deal with the court, Scantlin must actually attend the counseling program and show proof of enrollment.
