Whereas most of Chad Gilbert’s loyal fans are aware of his solo effort, casual listeners may not be aware that he’s preparing to release yet his fourth solo record under the pseudonym What’s Eating Gilbert. According to Gilbert, what began as an outlet to release his songs for free online, the reaction to the music was immense and lead to physical releases.

When we asked him for the song, New Found Glory’s Chad Gilbert had a laugh. He didn’t know the song had been released yet. And to make he situation funnier, the song was incorrectly titled “Babe,” when it should have been called “The One.”

Gilbert, with a great sense of humor, posted to Instagram earlier today, “So today my new What’s Eating Gilbert song got posted. It was labeled wrong though. The song was actually called “The One” but it was somehow posted as “Babe!” Should I leave it as “Babe” since it was announced like that or what I originally named it?” From the responses, fans are split.

The two-song 7″ record titled, The Nashville Session hits record stores June 19 via Paper + Plastick Records, an art-forward record label. This newly released track also features vocals from Paramore’s Hayley Williams.
