Aside from being just plain awesome, the seven-piece band is also known for its captivating live performances, with bandmembers switching instrumental duties (from bass guitar to piano, violin, cello or glockenspiel) and scrambling over one another in a frenzy. The world witnessed the band in action earlier this year during Arcade Fire’s knockout 2011 GRAMMY performance, belting out the emotive lyrics of “Month of May” to millions of viewers.
And speaking of live Arcade Fire performances, today’s Free MP3 of the Day is a live version of “We Used To Wait,” from the band’s GRAMMY-winning album The Suburbs. This version was recorded during Arcade Fire’s recent Live From Chicago performance.
